Linde Material Handling: Using hydrogen for material handling
The study on the topic of using hydrogen for material handling deals with issues of emissions, types of drives and innovative hydrogen technology. Factors for CO, CO2 and NOx emissions and fuel prices (electricity, gas, diesel and hydrogen) are calculated for each of the fuels. Hydrogen is a key topic due to emission neutrality, but it should be remembered that not all hydrogen is “emission-free” and helps to be neutral. The company Linde Material Handling bet on this technology and started to manufacture its own fuel cells. We will soon find out if this move was the right one. A real hydrogen project, which was implemented in Linde in Germany, can give us clues.
