Ivo Benda was born in 1975 in Zlín. After high school with a focus on natural sciences, he graduated from Tomas Bata University, majoring in marketing and management. He also continued his postgraduate studies at the same school, specializing in strategic management and its impact on competitiveness. He interrupted his studies after three years in order to complete a two-year internship in Sydney, Australia. After returning to the Czech Republic, he worked briefly as a marketing director at Aukro. Subsequently, he moved to the plastics industry, where he still works. He started in Fatra Napajedla, where he headed the building materials division. Since 2012, he has been the managing director of one of the largest manufacturers of plastic packaging for the food industry, Greiner Packaging Slušovice. In his work, he emphasizes the importance of strategic management and sustainability as basic prerequisites for the company’s success.
