Michaela Thomas, Butterflies & Hurricanes

Míša Thomas founded the activist design studio Butterflies & Hurricanes 13 years ago, whose portfolio is now represented by non-profit organizations, local projects and organisms riding the wave of the New Story. With her 28 years of experience in the field of design and packaging, she is well aware of the destructive effects of marketing for society and individuals, and therefore applies the principles of Mattering in her company, for which caring for the planet and its inhabitants is more important than profit and growth. She is currently actively working on the “1% for a New Story” project, which through an alternative economic model would provide financial, consulting and supply support to projects with the power to change society. More than degrees and achieved professional goals, Míša values being an inhabitant of planet Earth, a mother and a woman. Her roles have led her to a deep social sensibility that magnetically attracts clients from the human rights and environmental spheres.
